I've always wondered if I am providing the correct specifications to my printers when bidding envelopes. If I'm bidding a 2-color envelope that prints both the face and the flap, what are the proper specs? Does it matter if I'm bidding the job for offset or flexo printing?

Answer:
Follow this example for the proper way to write the specs:

2/2 black & PMS 185, prints face and flap only

No. You would give the same specs whether the job was to be printed by offset or flexography.
